Palm Springs Inspired Wedding With A Modern/Boho Twist

Mallory & Brenton’s wedding day was postponed due to the pandemic making this delayed date even more meaningful. From the design statements, menu and personal touches, this is a wedding we couldn’t wait for and one we’ll never forget!

Technically, Hillary describes this wedding design vibe as Palm Springs Pool Party + Mid-Century Modern + Bohemian Glam. As you scroll through these photos, you’ll see exactly what she means! (A side note… this is what happens when a super talented wedding designer gets the chance to return the favor to the one who helped plan and coordinate her own wedding!) Mallory has been a part of our Sainte Terre family for years, so this day was special on so many levels.

Take a look at this incredible day and be sure to pin what you love!

Getting Ready and The First Look

Mallory and her besties arrived earlier in the day for hair, make-up & mimosas! Then it’s time for the first look. This one had all the things we love…the drama of Mallory’s walk through the woods, the groom's anticipation, that "Oh, Wow!" when they see each other for the first time, and finally the sweetest embrace!

The Design

Hillary pulled those clean lines of mid-century modern shapes to provide the structure for design moments like the chapel entrance and the ceremony backdrop. She incorporated a boho glam free-style with the hanging installations and table scapes in the reception. She built awnings and customized umbrellas to bring in that Palm Springs pool party vibe. Watching it all come together . . . we're still obsessed!

The Florals

From the stunning bouquets to clusters of florals, the ombre colors in the ceremony backdrop to the towering reception arrangements and then that greenery . . . we loved every single petal and stem of these floral designs!

The Menu

An ‘elegant pub crawl’ was the inspiration for this wedding feast and Chef Holly Schreiber wowed us all! At the 'Birds & Bubbles' station guests dined on Fried Chicken Lollipops, Parmesean Truffle Fries along with champagne shooters. The 'Oceans & Lakes' station featured Chilled Marinated Shrimp, Mussels on the Half Shell, Fried Catfish Po'Boys and more. Served at the 'Louisiana Pub' were Bacon Wrapped Quail Skewers, Duck & Scallion Wonton Bites & Fried Green Tomato BLTs among other tasty treats! So delicious!!

The Bar

Guests were greeted with Watermelon Mojitos, then could slide over to the Whispering Angel Rosé Bar if they’d like, before grabbing one of the delicious concoctions named after the couple’s sweet pups!

The Wedding Cake & Pie Bar

Both were design statements. The Palm Springs-inspired awning and columns of florals on the cake table perfectly accented the mid-century modern lines of that stunning cake.

The Pie Bar was full of mini pie shooters in flavors like chocolate cream, strawberry, and key lime. A little piece of heaven on earth for pie lovers!

The Wedding Party

These two were surrounded by the best on this epic day! From early on until the very end, their crew cheered, celebrated and danced the night away with the new Mr. & Mrs.!

Party Tricks

We had a little surprise in store for the new couple! Mallory shared a photo of Brenton’s high-kick party trick and if that doesn’t say “Let’s Party!” then what does? We turned these awesome photos into cut-outs that welcomed guests . . . check out her reaction to seeing this set-up for the first time!
